The bulk of the show comes from that mac without reels etc in it. The rest of the show comes from the same master cassette. It sounds different for reasons unknown. Maybe the taper moved? Don't know. But your copy from the reel is now VERY obolete and the best thing you can do with it is toss the cd's if that is what you are listening to and/or delete the old fileset from your hd.
